چکیده

Aim and objectives: This study aims to determine the effect on shear bond strength (SBS) adhesive remnant score between two color change adhesives (CCAs) with reduced curing time using different high-intensity light emitting diode (LED) units. Materials methods: A total of 108 human first maxillary premolar teeth were randomly allocated into three principal groups (n = 36) based type used. The include CCAs: Transbond Plus Color Change Adhesive (3M, St. Paul, MN, USA) Grengloo (Ormco, Orange, CA, USA), conventional tooth-colored adhesive: XT (3M). Each group was further divided sub-groups 12 each) LED units used for bonding stainless steel brackets. Woodpecker iLED Light Curing Unit (Guilin Medical Instrument Co., Ltd., Guilin, China) cured six seconds, ELIPAR S10 (3M) 20 seconds. Bonding brackets done in a standardized manner following manufacturers' instructions. All samples submerged distilled water at 370C 24 hours. SBS testing performed an Instron machine, residue debonded surface examined scored stereomicroscope. Statistical analysis conducted one-way ANOVA Tukey’s post-hoc test. Results: results showed significant differences resin seconds exhibited higher values (15.5 - 22.82 Megapascals [MPa]) followed by (12.17 18.14 MPa) (11.31 11.74 groups. demonstrated highest among types adhesives. predominant scores 2 3. Conclusions: demonstrates superior compared XT. Both experience failure within layer, regardless intensity or time.

Shear bond strength of orthodontic color-change adhesives with different light-curing times

BACKGROUND The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effect of light-curing time on the shear bond strength (SBS) of two orthodontic color-change adhesives (CCAs). MATERIALS AND METHODS A total of 72 extracted premolars were randomly assigned into 6 groups of 12 teeth each. Subsequent to primer application, a metal bracket was bonded to the buccal surface using an orthodontic adhesive. Tw...

Bond strength comparison of color-change adhesives for orthodontic bonding using a self-etching primer

BACKGROUND The purpose of this study was to compare the shear bond strengths of two color-change adhesives with a commonly used conventional light-cure adhesive while using a self-etching primer, and to compare any changes in shear bond strengths over time. METHODS One hundred and eighty extracted bovine incisors were randomly divided into nine groups of 20 teeth each. The teeth were prepared...
